How to publish a book

Welcome to Euromedia publishing house! We are here to make your dream a reality and get your manuscript to readers. We know the path from your initial idea and intimate concept to publication may be a depressing task. To boost your confidence, we have created this page, which will explain the mysterious publishing process step by step.

Offering
the manuscript
Please first complete your manuscript or elaborate on the concept (for fiction, the complete work is typically needed). You can make the offer using a simple form by clicking the “Submit Manuscript” button below.

Assessing
the manuscript
Each manuscript we receive is carefully assessed by our editorial team. We take into account the literary qualities of the work, its commercial potential and accordance with our edition plan.

Agreement
If your manuscript passes the assessment, our editor will contact you and propose licensing agreement terms and conditions to you. If you agree on the terms and conditions, we will conclude the agreement and start preparing your manuscript for publication.

Editorial
work
A manuscript accepted for publication is reviewed by an editor, who suggests style adjustments and may recommend other intervention that would benefit the text. The edited manuscript is returned to the author to approve and make the changes.

Graphic design
and typesetting
Once the editorial work is finished, your manuscript is given to our graphic designers, who design the book cover and inner layout. This is followed by text typesetting, which gives your book the final form. One of our technical editors supervises the whole process. The typeset text undergoes proofreading.

Printing
and distribution
The book is physically manufactured by one of our partner printing houses. It is then distributed via our own book wholesale company to our Luxor retail chain and bookshops and online shops throughout Czechia. The publishing house displays and promotes the book and supports its sales.

Transparency
and respect
The whole publishing process is transparent and respectful of authors. You will be informed about every step on an ongoing basis and you can approach us with any questions.
